Dan Bassill will be 71 on December 19,
2017 The photos below represent over 40 years of public service since 1968 when Dan Bassill joined the US Army to October 2015 when his use of maps was featured in a Chicago Tribune story by Dawn Turner and November 2016 when Dan and his mentee, Leo Hall, were interviewed for an article in The Atlantic. Help Dan celebrate his 69th birthday with a gift that enables him to continue this service into another year.

Dan
Bassill became a volunteer tutor in 1973 when he joined Montgomery Ward
Headquarters in Chicago.
In 1975 he became leader of the program at Wards. At the same time, he created the Tutor/Mentor Connection to help programs like Cabrini Connections reach k-12 youth in all high poverty neighborhoods in Chicago. In July 2011 Dan created the Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC to continue this vision in a new structure. A birthday gift is NOT tax-deductable, but does recognize Dan's vision, long-term service, and gives you a share of Dan's vision.
